Let’s take a look at what’s been happening at Streamr in the last few months, starting with Henri Pihkala’s summary of recent activities:
Work continues over the European summer as we build towards the Tatum milestone. It’s a challenging and important milestone to reach, which brings the full tokenomics to the Streamr Network. I’m pleased to report that a key step towards Tatum has been reached with the completion of Bounty Smart Contracts. You can read more about it below and in this Twitter thread.
We’re close to finishing work on the multichain Marketplace—the reopening of a data Marketplace compatible with the Brubeck Network, where data products can now be deployed onto any supported chain and priced in any token! Initially supported chains will be Ethereum mainnet, Gnosis, and Polygon. The Marketplace will launch together with Data Unions 3.0, an upgrade we’ve been preparing together with the Data Union DAO, bringing the framework onto several chains as well.
Finally, we’ve been putting the finishing touches to the Streamr wallet chat app, which has evolved in scope to be quite a bit more than the simple pilot it was conceived as. You’ll have the chance to test it for yourselves soon.
As always, thanks for the support!
Tatum milestone on Trello
Follow the road to the Tatum milestone, which marks version 1.0 of the fully decentralized Streamr Network, in this new Trello board. We will be counting down to Tatum and keeping you posted on every completed component. The first section checked off is Bounty Smart Contracts, which allows stream Sponsors to pay incentives in DATA tokens to Broker nodes that support certain streams.
Decentralized IoT data with Helium and Streamr
The Helium Network has published an awesome guide on how to build decentralized data pipelines using Helium and the Streamr Network. By combining tech from the two projects, IoT builders have a resource to connect, deliver, and monetise IoT data in a trustless end-to-end configuration. Read more and start building today!

LoRaWAN World Expo
Streamr’s Matthew Fontana and Mark Little attended the LoRaWAN World Expo in Paris last month. The conference gave the team an opportunity to network and get the latest insights from IoT builders, and meet with innovators in the space including Helium, RAKwireless, and others. It was good to be back on the in-person event road after the COVID-19 pandemic!
AMA with Satori creator Jordan Miller
Satori is a fascinating project that is building with Streamr to create a decentralized, machine learning powered prediction system using live data streams. We were pleased to have Satori creator Jordan Miller join us for an AMA to discuss how it works, what’s on the roadmap, and why he chose to build using Web3 technology. Watch and learn more!
The ATACRA consortium would like to get your feedback on their upcoming pilot to bring sharable, anti-rival NFTs to the Streamr Community. If you haven’t already, please take a few minutes to complete the survey.
